“Different Kind of Christmas” was written and originally recorded by Mark Schultz. This song is for anyone who is missing a special someone at Christmas. Marcy recently lost her dad, who she was very close to, so the music and in particular, the video for “Different Kind of Christmas” honors him, and some of the family memories Marcy has from when she was growing up.
Many people have compared Marcy’s voice to Karen Carpenter, which is both high praise, and very humbling. Marcy’s music is designed to be warm and compassionate, and often a source of comfort for anyone who needs a voice of understanding to help them through a difficult time.
