This record was conceived as a collection of music that people could use for comfort when they might be in the midst of one of life’s difficult times.

These songs were that for Marcy, so we decided to record versions of these songs that would be done in a delicate, soothing, and comforting way, featuring not only Marcy’s beautiful voice, but Wally’s expressive piano playing and arrangements, Tom’s gorgeous saxophone, Kurt’s brilliant guitar, Matt’s always perfect bass, and Bihn’s beautiful cello.
